MY JOURNEY HOME IS NOW AN AUTHORIZED MICROSOFT REFURBISHER !!!  We are asking our friends to donate any old computers and peripherals to us, so we can refurbish them for sale to local schools, non-profits, churches and small businesses.  We will train Microsoft Certified Technicians, and provide opportunities for clients to work as technician assistants.  This program will provide income, reducing our dependency on governmental grants for financial support.

My Journey Home (MJH) is northern Nevada’s only full service re-entry program for ex-felons and others just released from incarceration.  We provide job development, placement and training.  We provide training in MS Office programs, resume development and interviewing skills.  We provide drug and alcohol counseling and peer-to-peer self help meetings.  We provide housing referrals, transportation assistance, residence supplies and other assistance as needed.

My Journey Home works with pre-released inmates through Nevada Restitution and House Arrest. MJH assists these inmates with obtaining identity and security documents necessary to secure housing and employment. MJH works with the families of released persons through several programs developed to meet the local needs of Northern Nevada residents.

In the United States, more than one in one hundred adults are incarcerated, costing state governments nearly $50 billion a year, and federal government $5 billion more. Well over 95% of these persons are eventually released. Each year U.S. prisons release more than 600,000 inmates back into the communities from which they came, most often without the resources and community support that would allow them a safe and successful re-entry. Nearly 84% of those incarcerated in Nevada prisons will be released with the next four years.
